N2  - In its 4th edition, the book is thoroughly revised with the latest syllabus. Three new chapters on Human Rights and Humanitarian Law, Social Inclusion of Human Rights, and the Global Alliance of National Human Rights Institutions (GANHRI) have been added.
In Human Rights section of the book, provisions with respect to Rights of Persons with Disabilities Act, 2016, Whistle Blowers Protection Act, 2011 (17 of 2014), and Juvenile Justice (Care and Protection of Children) Act, 2015 have been added at appropriate places. In the International Law, part of the book, the Chilcot Report on the United Kingdom’s Military Action in the Iraq War (2003) and surgical operation by India are included. The Treaty on the Prohibition of Nuclear Weapons, 2017 is a pious wish of the international community and finds a place in this edition of the book. The environment continues to be a grave concern of the international community and the adoption of the legally binding Paris Agreement, 2016 is a major achievement.
